Recent PDA alumni, Leah Walker, joined us this week to present on her adventures as a nursing student. Leah shared with us her observations and insightful comments on the facility she is training in, from a user’s perspective. We find gaining knowledge of the user’s needs and perceptions of what works and what does not, helps us improve our approach to providing the best solutions for our healthcare clients.

Hear how the clinician and design team collaborated to develop a palliative care suite as a pilot program along with lessons learned from the first year and a half of operation.
PDA is very excited for the upcoming opening of the nearly complete Rehabilitation Hospital in Rancho Mirage for Vibra Healthcare. A group of 15 PDA staff trekked out to the desert oasis the Saturday to walk through the new facility our project team diligently worked on completely over the past year. We look forward to the doors opening to patients towards the end of August and the ribbon cutting ceremony in September.
As many hospitals undergo upgrading their pharmacy to comply with USP 797 and USP 800 requirements, temporary compounding rooms or mobile units are implemented to maintain operations. This approach can become costly and time-consuming, often leading to production delays and unrecoverable expenses.

PDA has recently completed the remodel of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s outpatient Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Departments at their Mark Goodson Medical Office Building (MGB) in the heart of the Beverly Grove district in Los Angeles. With the goal of creating an improved care environment, PDA worked closely with Cedars’ staff, stakeholders and consultants to deliver improved clinical function while accommodating increased patient load in compliance with OSHPD 3 regulations.
