St. Joseph's Health & Retirement Community Masterplan

Fair Oaks, CA

Overview
The environment at St. Joseph’s today is  much different from when the original buildings were constructed in 1926, and three surveys have shown that that the local area now needs over 100 more beds to care for its elderly.

PDA designed this new 130,000 sq. ft. “village” concept master plan/CUP to respect St. Joseph’s historic adobes and buildings on campus and the century-old oak forest.  The master plan includes 50 assisted living units, 10-bed memory unit, 40 independent units & villas, and a 59-bed skilled nursing facility. Each unit utilizes natural ventilation and is designed with views of the Los Padres Mountains creating an ideal environment for residents.
