UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA RIVERSIDE
This project revolved around the structural and seismic evaluations of the buildings on campus at the University of California, Riverside. Structural evaluations indicated that Fawcett Laboratory, Sproul Hall and the Life Sciences Unit each had a “poor” seismic rating, according to the University of California Board of Regents’ Policy on Seismic Safety.
PDA, in association with Degenkolb Engineers, developed a cost-effective and aesthetically appropriate solution to provide strengthening. The upgrades not only updated the appearance of the properties, but also preserved a safe environment for students and faculty.
